I’m Doug Turner, the proud owner of Best Books & Taxes, LLC. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
I always wanted to help people and found I had a gift for numbers from a young age. Before my current business, I worked as an underwriter and operations manager in the mortgage industry for more than twenty-three years until I retired to go back to school and complete my accounting education.
In 2011, with over a combined twenty-eight years of financial experience, I launched Best Books & Taxes, LLC and became an enrolled agent, earning the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.
In the ten years I have been in the bookkeeping and accounting business, we have expanded our services beyond local clientele. We have developed our remote capabilities allowing us to assist clients no matter their location. We have also added services that include the set-up of corporations and complete tax preparation and IRS representation.
The part of my career I most enjoy is working with my clients towards a common goal. The work itself is fun, but I also enjoy the one-on-one professional interactions I have with everyone who walks through our door.
I run my business based on the philosophy of treating others how I would like to be treated and offer respect and the same level of commitment to all of my clients.
As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my commitment to the core values of honesty, integrity, and accountability. These values ensure I operate my business with diligence and always keep my client’s best interest in mind.
I attribute my success to my ability to connect with my clients personally, my track record of successful negotiations with the IRS, and my never-say-die attitude towards assisting my clients.
Helping hundreds of people live prosperous, stress-free lives has indeed been an experience that has given me immense satisfaction over the years and one that continues to inspire me.
When I am not at work, I like to stay active. Strange as it sounds, I enjoy doing housework and find it puts me in a zen space. I am also an online gamer and technology geek.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
